Amity University, Haryana has been established under the Haryana Act 10 of 2010 by Government of Haryana. The University is spread over a sprawling 110 acres of lush green campus amidst Aravali Hills in Gurgaon (Manesar), the Millennium City of India, which is the largest industrial hub of NCR. The University is currently offering more than 140 Programs. The 'Vision' of Amity University Haryana is "to be a world class centre of creativity and innovation and to contribute to the progress of humanity through excellence in education, industry and society relevant research and extension services."

AUH has been accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) Grade 'A' and ASIC (Accreditation Services for International Schools, Colleges and Universities) UK and has been ranked among top leading Universities by NIRF-MHRD, India Today, KPMG, ABP News, Hindustan Times and ASSOCHAM.

Amity Law School offers regular programmes approved by Bar Council of India (BCI) such as B.A. LL.B (H), B.B.A. LL.B (H), B.Com. LL.B (H), LL.M (one year) in Constitutional Law, Criminal Law and Corporate Law and Ph.D in Law . Amity's efforts in graduate programs in Law which received overwhelming response from aspiring Law students. Making itself academically strong, socially relevant and technically advanced, ALS trains Law professionals to play vital roles as Policy Planners, Business Advisors, Negotiators among interest groups, experts in articulation and communication of ideas, Mediators, Lobbyists, Law Reformers and Advocacy Practitioners. Owing to expanding roles of Law professionals, ALS offers blend of applications that nurtures the professionals who can work in dynamic arenas.

ALS offers a unique blend of robust class room teaching by reputed Faculty along with critical legal analysis of benchmark judgements and case studies. Students learn practical application of Law from legal experts, High Court Judges, Senior Lawyers, Tax Consultants, Legal Advisors in State Departments, among others, during Moot Courts, simulations and Model United Nations. Maj Gen. (Retd.) Praveen Kumar Sharma, Director Amity Law School is a distinguished Professor of Constitution Law, Military Law and Business Taxation. He has industrial and teaching experience of over 40 years. His research area lies in Technology Law. He believes that the recent developments in technology and the field of legal education have changed the way law is taught and challenged law schools to innovate. Each law school will follow its own part to meet the needs of its students, the profession and the world. His endeavour as the Director is to integrate the technological advancements and legal developments in imparting of quality education through innovative means like e-moots court and virtual classrooms. He has written several research articles, presented papers, attended, and organized many national and international seminars, workshops etc. In his guidance and leadership, the law school is moving towards new heights of success.
